Ann M. Cool
Writer, editor
Ann M. Cool is an experienced and skilled communicator. Trained in journalism and creative writing, she’s mastered everything from technical text to feature articles.
In the span of her career, she’s written and edited marketing and educational publications for print and web, and developed public relations materials for media.
Her versatility has enabled her to write and edit technical pieces for the retirement system she worked for by day and write feature profiles for a local women’s magazine by night.
Recently, she has published the following articles for local Lansing area magazines:
- Business profile column for Capital Area Women’s Lifestyle Magazine, July 2010 to present.
- Staffing services for Greater Lansing Business Monthly, November 2007 issue.
But writing and editing are only part of her story.
From 2008 to 2010, she consulted on communications projects for the Michigan Association of Conservation Districts, developing press releases, educational documents, newsletters and conference materials.
In 1988, she began working for the Michigan Forestry and Park Association and as its Association Manager. Drawing on her strong organizational skills, she coordinated all of the association’s educational conferences, workshops, and seminars. She also produced quarterly newsletters to its members, managed its web content, and developed brochures, news releases and flyers that publicized the association’s events.
